Here’s a little about the FINE ARTS NETWORKING GROUP
Most of us are alumna of Carnegie Mellon University, some of us just have some connection to the CMU. Some of us are artists of one type or another, beginning, returning, or actively pursuing careers in the arts, and some are simply great *FAN*s of the Arts.
The one thing that draws us together is the spirit of the arts and the camaraderie of sharing ideas. We don’t have dues, or rules to go by. We just pay for our own dinner. We meet, talk sometimes enjoy each other’s work, and we help each other when we can.
We meet on the 4th Thursday of most months (that’s as consistent as we can be!) So to find our events and to sign up, visit See our main site
Our school motto, which we all lived when we began, is, “My Heart is In the work”! For most of us, that seems to be as true today as it was when we were in college.
However, along the way, I have an added additional guidelines, and I bring onee to our group. It is a note to anyone who wants to to foster the fine arts.
The life of an artist is not an easy one, but it is well worth the trouble. So…
I say to all who care about the important things of life: Promote the Arts – Invest in Living Artists!
