Since I left my camera in the car… I’ll just tell you how our dinner went…....
It was especially exciting, because our own Brian King, who had done all the faux finishes on the 30 tables in the restaurant attended with his wife Denise. It was probably the last event that Ben will attend before he goes off to Berkley for his Architecture degree. Hazel Go who is an Architect already Louis Alahut, patent attorney and docent at the Building Museum and I attended…. And we all had wonderful meals and fun talking!

Dinner
This is a much-loved Lebanese restaurant, popular in DC, over the years.
A recent visit found Helen Thomas still in her favorite booth with a group
of friends, the hospitality just as warm, and the food just as good and
inexpensive. Start with hummus—the version with ground lamb and
pine nuts is delicious—baba ghanoush, or lebnah, a creamy cheese
made from strained yogurt.
stuffed with ground lamb; grape leaves stuffed with a flavorful mixture
of rice, tomatoes, herbs, and spices; kebabs of lamb, chicken, or ground
beef; a tender, long-cooked lamb shank; and musakan, a half chicken
baked with onions, pine nuts, and sumac. Not estimated in the 20 dollars,
the wine list is available and offers a good selection of drinkable and
inexpensive Lebanese wines.
Pay $20 to RSVP in the affirmative. Order what you want individually there.
FYI the average entree is twelve or dollars and an appetizer is about
five dollars.
Then we will square up ( adding tax and tip to your order) at the end.
Individual choice of Dinner, Beverage, Tax & Gratuity: Estimate $20
